It is the natural counterpart to the edelweiss version of the same series, with which it shares the format and fine finish. The 1-day mechanical Regula movement drives a balance wheel and is wound daily, as is traditional in the region's horology. The cuckoo sings on the full hour and once on the half hour. The manual night shut-off allows the chime to be silenced during the night, and the VdS certificate attests to the Black Forest origin of the clock as well as its artisanal manufacture. Its height of 27 cm and weight of 1.6 kg make it easy to hang in a modestly sized room, such as an entryway, office, or kitchen.
