Description
The Engstler 493QM cuckoo clock sets good cheer to the hour: each chime brings together the call of the cuckoo, a melody and a beer drinker who raises his mug, in a carefully decorated 29 cm chalet.
A mug raised every hour
This chalet by Engstler runs on batteries, thanks to its quartz movement. When the hour strikes, the cuckoo appears at its dormer, its call extends in an echo, then the music starts: the drinker lifts his mug and the mill wheel begins to turn.
Twelve tunes take turns through the day, from the “Kuckuckwalzer” to the “Salut d'amour”. At night, the light sensor puts this whole little world to sleep.
A miniature mountain chalet
The wooden façade follows the codes of Black Forest houses, with its shuttered windows and flower boxes. On the left, the blue wheel turns under its canopy; on the right, the drinker has settled at his table. The wooden dial and hands complete the whole.
Its 29 cm find their place in a living room, an entrance hall or a kitchen, on a simple section of wall.
Same chalet, different mood: a fisherman waits for trout on a model with a stream. And to add dancers to the party, they turn on a chalet with a shingle roof.
