Description
The Engstler 482QM cuckoo clock turns every hour into a scene from daily life: the water wheel turns, the woodcutter splits his wood and twelve melodies take turns through the day.
The call, the echo and twelve melodies
Born in the workshops of Engstler, this cuckoo clock runs on batteries with a quartz movement. On every full hour, the bird comes out to announce the time, extended by an echo, then the music takes over: the mill wheel begins to turn and the woodcutter raises his arm.
During the hours of sleep, an automatic night shut-off switches off the sound until morning.
A dark wood chalet, full of life
The shingle roof tops a dark wood façade, brightened with red shutters and flower boxes. In the centre, the brown dial shows its Roman numerals.
On the terrace, the scene is laid out: a doe shelters under a small canopy on the left, logs are stacked in the centre, and the woodcutter busies himself on the right, his large white and russet dog lying near him.
At 30 cm, this cuckoo clock fits easily on a living-room, kitchen or hallway wall. For a scene in the same spirit in light wood, a woodcutter also works near the blue wheel of a chalet with red shutters.
