Description
The Engstler 416QM cuckoo clock brings a 25 cm half-timbered chalet into your home, and with it twelve melodies that change throughout the day. A quartz cuckoo clock, ready to sing as soon as its batteries are installed.
A call, then a melody
This chalet from Engstler, a manufacturer in Villingen-Schwenningen since 1952, runs on a musical quartz movement. On every full hour, the bird sings, then one of the twelve melodies follows, from the “Bayrischer Ländler” to “Home Sweet Home”.
A switch gives the choice: music and cuckoo, cuckoo only, or silence. In the evening, a light sensor puts the clock to rest until morning.
At 25 cm high by 27 wide, it suits the walls of an entrance hall, a kitchen or a living room.
Half-timbering, well and roe deer
The chalet stands with its half-timbering under a wooden shingle roof. The scene brings together a well, a roe deer and a bird, like a corner of the countryside at the foot of the house. Wildlife lovers will also appreciate the chalet with two fallow deer.
Among the twelve tunes is “Fröhlicher Wanderer”, the song of the happy wanderer, made famous around the world in the 1950s by a German children's choir.
