Description
The Engstler 407QM cuckoo clock is one of the most peaceful chalets from the Villingen-Schwenningen manufacturer. Twelve melodies, a rustic wooden decoration and all the simplicity of quartz, brought together in 25.5 cm.
Quartz with music
Coming from the workshops of Engstler, a family firm active since 1952, this chalet runs on batteries and keeps steady time. On every full hour, the cuckoo sings, then a melody follows. It changes from one hour to the next, from “Mühle im Schwarzwald” to “Salut d'amour”, among twelve tunes. At nightfall, a light sensor automatically switches off the call and the music.
Two fallow deer at the foot of the chalet
The dark wood chalet is topped with a plank roof. Its façade carved with diamond shapes has a small openwork balcony just below the cuckoo door. In the centre, the wooden dial has light Roman numerals.
On the left, two fallow deer, one of which is grazing, stand in the grass; on the right, a small wooden building stands beside a pile of logs. At 25.5 cm, it easily finds its place in an entrance hall, a kitchen or an office.
