Description
The Engstler 471QM cuckoo clock is one of the most carefully finished chalets in the quartz range, with its roof of shingles laid one by one. Twelve melodies and a cuckoo call extended by an echo complete the picture.
The call, the echo and twelve melodies
Born in the workshops of Engstler, this cuckoo clock runs on batteries thanks to its quartz movement. On every full hour, the bird comes out to announce the time, extended by an echo, then one of the twelve melodies starts to play, different from one hour to the next.
At night, a light sensor automatically switches off the sound, until daylight returns.
A chalet guarded by its dog
The dark wood façade comes alive with red shutters and flower boxes, beneath a brick chimney. In the centre, the dial with golden Roman numerals stands out against the wood. In front of the house, a bench and the dog lying down complete the scene, between two carved fir trees.
At 25 cm, this cuckoo clock is easy to install in a living room, a kitchen or a hallway. Its moderate format and battery operation make it a good first cuckoo clock, decorative and easy to live with day to day.
Fans of four-legged companions will find a dog again, this time alongside a woodcutter at work, on a light wood chalet with a blue wheel.
