Description
The Engstler 482/7QM cuckoo clock stages a Black Forest chalet in light natural wood. Every hour, the cuckoo comes out of its door, counts the hours, then the woodcutter comes to life to the rhythm of the mechanism before a melody takes over.
Simple quartz operation
This cuckoo clock runs on a battery-powered quartz movement, and its pendulum swings on the front. On the hour, the cuckoo comes out of its door and calls the number of hours, extended by an echo. The music then takes over: the mill wheel turns and the woodcutter raises his arm.
Twelve melodies follow one another through the hours and a photoelectric cell automatically switches off the chime in the dark.
An animated chalet in light wood
At 30 cm high, this cuckoo clock depicts a Black Forest chalet in light natural wood, topped with a steep roof covered in shingles. The dormers and windows with red shutters are surrounded by small painted flower boxes.
On the terrace, a doe stands on the left, near the mill wheel sheltered under its canopy. In the centre, firewood is stacked. On the right, the woodcutter splits a log, his dog at his feet.
