The Hönes 122ed cuckoo clock stands out for its hand-painted edelweiss, spread from the top to the bottom of the decoration. At just 20 cm, this small mechanical cuckoo clock brings a flowery presence to an interior.
The movement and the call
Its mechanical 1-day movement is driven by two pine cone-shaped weights. The chains are used for daily winding. The cuckoo calls once on the half hour, then indicates the number of hours on the hour. A lever allows the call to be switched off manually during the night.

Four hand-painted edelweiss
A carved leaf crowns the cuckoo clock and bears a first edelweiss. Three other flowers sit on each side of the dial and in the lower part, each accompanied by its green foliage. Carved leaves surround the case, while the lattice work frames the cuckoo door and the dial.
The wood is stained walnut and the carvings are made by hand. The black dial has cream Roman numerals as well as the Hönes logo in place of the XII.
